I guess I just over thought it a little.

Also would it be possible to have some sort of form for photo submissions up this quarter? If so, how long would that take?Dr Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11421430097432004333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2066328240804223143.post-47542227656592454232009-05-04T16:54:00.000-07:002009-05-04T16:54:00.000-07:00Submitting photos

The images must be large enough to be scaled down to a width of at least 800 pixels.

---------------------------------------
I'm not sure how large is large enough. To be honest, I'm not even sure what this means.

I'm pretty sure that we could scan something pretty tiny and get it to end up at 800 pixels wide without losing quality. And when are we going to get tiny photos brought in as hard copies?
---------------------------------------

Email
--------------------------------------
Do we really want people to email photos? Because when photos are emailed we'll have to go through the process of putting them into the website file system.

We could instead ask people to submit their photos through a form on the website that automatically processes the size of the image.

The form would also automatically require people to include the extra information that you listed – name/email/description/etc.

We can still review and edit photos as they come in, but we would save a lot of browsing/uploading work by having people submit through the website.

We can also still get email notifications of submissions.

And photos would not be visible on the site until approved by the eic or someone designated to make that decision.

--------------------------------------

Photos should be emailed to cpj@evergreen.edu.
Attach your photos as a .jpg
or
include, in the body of your email, an web address that link directly to the image you would like to have published.
please include the following information in your email
full name
phone and email
a short description of the photo
Photos should not be smaller than 800 pixels wide.
Photos smaller than this may not retain their quality after being uploaded to the CPJ website.Sethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02715426510607277597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2066328240804223143.post-79586981311200356792009-05-04T10:51:00.000-07:002009-05-04T10:51:00.000-07:00Looks good to me. I think that the policy needs some kind of section or paragraph that encourages students to submit photos that aren't of drunken parties.

JasonDr Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11421430097432004333noreply@blogger.com
